OH MY WORD….I LOST ANOTHER 2 POUNDS!!!…….BREAK THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!

I slept all night hard and long. I feel good this morning…really good. So far I am so happy with what I am doing to change my body. I am so EXCITED and HAPPY I can’t contain my JOY. This is what I have been searching for. THANK YOU LORD.


Day 2,597 1/4/11

 (-3 lbs this morning)

Well, I think yesterday went pretty good….I could not sleep last night because of hunger….I had to get up and eat about 50 calories of baked chicken. I only slept about 4 hours all night.

Breakfast: I had one slice of turkey breast…sliver and 1 egg white only

Lunch: chicken breast 100 grams, one laughing cow herbs and garlic/light, and asparagus

Snack: small apple

Dinner: 100 grams of steak, mushrooms and onions sauteed in water and garlic, salt and pepper and 1 cup of romaine hearts torn up.

Snack: small apple

I did my hcg drops 15 minutes before each meal…I am extremely surprised at how I feel. I am over all not hungry. This is big for me…..that is why I end up just maintaining my weight after a week of being so perfect…..I am so famished that I end up eating on the 6th or 7th day and maintain for the week. This is a BIG breakthrough for me.

I hope I sleep tonight.

DAY 2,596 1/3/11

Okay…yesterday was a blurr….I didn’t log my day…but here it is in a nutshell….I did carb loading and fat loading because today I am starting on the hcg drops. I am going to give this a try. My main reason for doing this is because I was almost perfect last week with my diet plan and exercise and I lost nothing….NOTHING. I also am so hungry. I researched this plan and I am going to test it out to see if I can break through and release some body fat. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP. I will keep trying to have a break through.

So….the plan is this: I do 10 drops under my tongue 3x’s a day. I eat a 500 calorie diet. That sounds crazy….it is crazy until you research why hcg works….it fools your body into thinking you are pregnant and when you eat a low calorie diet your body thinks you are in starvation mode and releases stored body fat. I did hcg injections back in the 80’s and it worked….you can now buy it over the counter. So today is my first day on the 500 calorie plan. I will log my food and how I feel several times a day to closely monitor my health.

Lord, I pray that You would help this to work for my body. I pray that I am not hungry and that I feel good and release body fat. In Jesus Name. Amen

Breakfast: coffee and water only

I did not feel anything from the drops except that I was not hungry…which is what I want.

Lunch:  12:00 -2 cups raw spinach leaves with turkey

ate apple at 3:00

I felt good all day….not hungry…so far so good.

Dinner: 5:00- 2 cups romaine lettuce with 100 grams steamed chicken breast

ate apple at 6:00

Still not hungry.

Larry got some dessert at 6:30 and it bothered me badly. I was not hungry but just watching and hearing him eat it drove me nuts.  I think that is going to be the hardest thing.

It is almost 7:00 and I can’t believe how good I feel with only eating around 500 calories today. First day done.

I woke up with a headache….crazy….I hardly ever get a headache…usually when I cut way back on my food and exercise more….and that is what I did yesterday….so it is right on schedule. I don’t like it. 

Today is New Year’s Day….I am planning my food early so I can enjoy my day without feeling deprived.

Breakfast: Gluten free choco Panda rice krispies…YUM…and 1/2 cup almond milk 240cal/4protein

Snack: baby carrots, flax, hemp chips and greek yogurt dip I made with sundried tomatoes and garlic…200cal/5protein

Lunch: Edamame bean salad…with red onion, celery, lime juice, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, 1 tsp. olive oil, cilantro. 300cal/26protein

Snack: smoothie made with 1 cup almond milk, 1 cup blueberries, frozen spinach, 1/2 banana   170 cal/2protein

Snack: 1/2 large apple 50 cal

Dinner: Coconut chicken soup 375cal/50protein

Snack: 1 serving baked cheese curls  130cal/2protein

Total calories today = 1,465

Total protein today = 93

REST DAY…I did 6 days straight with no rest….I am taking the day off and feel good about it….I am tired.

Day 2,593 12/31/10 Last day of the year!

Wow…I woke up hungry….more than usual. I ate breakfast at 7:00 am. I never do this…but I am trying to listen to my body more…and it was telling me to eat so I did.

Breakfast: ground turkey steamed, enerG roll, slice of American cheese, slice of onion, dill pickle and 1Tb. light mayo and 1 Tb. ketchup, Total calories 485/29 protein.

Snack: 28grams baked cheese bites, 1 string cheese 210cal/9protein

Lunch: Chicken breast with lite coconut milk, onions, celery, curry, 1/2 cup brown rice      300cal/28protein

TOTAL CALORIES SO FAR TODAY = 995

TOTAL PROTEIN SO FAR TODAY = 66 = 

Snack: hemp flax chips and string cheese 360cal/12protein

Dinner: ground turkey browned up with some onions, spinach leaves, 2 egg whites, green chilies  1/2 cup brown rice  330cal/29protein

TOTAL CALORIES FOR THE DAY = 1,685

TOTAL PROTEIN FOR THE DAY = 95

I had a great day…I felt hungry after my walk…I felt way better after having some carbs and protein. I ate better today…I got more protein in and more carbs. I am missing some veggies. I will try to up the veggies tomorrow.

I FEEL POWERFUL AND STRONG….LAST DAY OF THE YEAR!!! 2011 IS GOING TO BE MY YEAR……I WILL REACH MY GOAL THIS YEAR…I FEEL IT….I KNOW IT…..I CAN DO IT!!

Exercise burned 632 calories, other activities burned 1,864 total = 2,496

I had a hungry day yesterday….I slept good….I ate more yesterday so I don’t understand why I was so hungry.

Breakfast: oatmeal, brown sugar, 1/2 banana  350 cal/2protein

Snack: applesauce  70cal

Lunch: gr. turkey, 1/2 cup brown rice, onions, one slice provolone cheese  340cal/28protein

Snack: ginger snaps 460cal/4protein

Total calories today so far = 1,220

Total protein so far = 34

Walking/run 95 minutes and all my other activities today = 2,198 calories burned

Snack: string cheese, 80cal/7protein 

Dinner: rice crackers,  2Tb. eggplant hummus, organic baby carrots, 3 oz. smoked dried salmon  330cal/26 protein

Total calories today = 1,630  Total protein 67

My protein is low today……I will do better tomorrow on protein…had a great day….I worked hard….I did around 5 miles today….sore…but worth it. :))

DAY 2,591 12/29/10

I slept last night!!! It felt good to sleep all night long…I really needed the rest. I feel very inspired and motivated to press on. I am already feeling better…a little sore but better body, mind and spiritually. My mind is clear. I have been following several health blogs….and they inspire me. I started my healthseekers blog to inspire others and others have in return inspired me. I feel it and know it….I feel a GREAT DAY AHEAD!!! I am making it a GREAT DAY!

Breakfast: No smoothie this morning…I felt like have a hot meal with lots of protein so this is what I fixed.

ground turkey browned up with some onion and one serving polenta with a poached egg on top. So filling and it was only 310 cal/29protein.

Snack: 2 oz. smoked dried salmon 100 cal/12protein

Lunch: 1/2 large apple 50 cal, baby carrots 30 cal, 2TB eggplant hummus, 2 hard boiled eggs plus 2 egg whites,  rice crackers Total cal 425/24 protein

Snack: 8 gluten free ginger snaps, 230 cal/4protein

TOTAL CALORIES SO FAR = 1,065

TOTAL PROTEIN SO FAR =67

TOTAL CALORIES BURNED EXERCISING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES = 1,333

Snack: 1/2 serving raw almonds, 100 cal/3protein

DAY 2,590 12/28/10

I had a hard time sleeping last night….wowzer’s I had a headache so badly. I know that happens to me when I am strict on food intake and exercise. I knew I ate plenty of calories and protein yesterday….therefore I just pushed through and did not give in and eat. I woke up this morning feeling okay for not sleeping very well. I am so HAPPY I made it through another day and night….by tomorrow I should be feeling really good. I am following a few blogs that are seeking health and fitness and trying to lose weight. They encourage me a lot. Just knowing that I am not alone on this journey GMH. 

Breakfast: Smoothie=almond milk, pumpkin, blueberries, banana, spinach. 230 cal/2 protein. (I only had 1/2 cup almond milk today)

Snack: edamme bean salad made with 1/2 cup beans shelled, 1/2 avocado diced, diced red onion, cilantro, chopped jalapeno pepper, lime juice, 1 tsp. olive oil. Total cal 235/12protein

Lunch: ground turkey, red onion, jalapeno pepper, 1 serving polenta Total calories 250/23 protein

TOTAL CALORIES SO FAR TODAY = 715

I had another fantastic day!! I am a bit sore from exercising, but I feel good. I hope I can sleep tonight….I am in need of a really good night’s sleep.

I am so proud of ME!  Yesterday was a great day….I made a plan and I stuck to it!!!

I went for a power walk/run….only 40 minutes….I haven’t been doing much walking or running for a while because of the knee injury. So I didn’t want to over due it. It felt good. Crisp and cold. I loved it!!  I burned around 300 calories. :))

Breakfast: Smoothie with, spinach, canned pumpkin, almond milk, blueberries and part of a frozen banana. Drank my fruit and veggies!!  240 cal 5 protein

Snack: After run…turkey, 2Tb eggplant hummus, 5 baby carrots 100 cal 13 protein

Lunch: 4 oz ground turkey,steamed, 170 cal/21 protein, steamed red onions 10cal, 1 slice provolone cheese 70 cal/5protein, steamed broccoli 20 cal/1protein, 1/2 small avocado 70 cal/2protein. 1 serving polenta 70 cal/2 protein. Total calories=400 Total protein=31

I JUST DID 30 MINUTES OF DEEP BREATHING AND STRETCHING!!!!! Yoga moves without the spiritual beliefs…..I FEEL GREAT!!!! I ALSO BURNED AROUND 190 CALORIES.
